Bullying is sort of a thing that never gets taken down the way we usually wish it would. When I was in school I was bullied for seven years. Here’s an interesting fact. In Hebrew, the number "seven" has the same consonants as the word for completeness or wholeness. So, I was bullied for seven years, right? By that time I was totally insecure, I had lots of trust issues, I got sick of pretending that everything was okay. By chance, my brother and I began homeschooling, and I began to discover new things about myself. I was on a path of recovery and discovery about myself, and I still am. We eventually got a tutor and he taught us to play the guitar, I started writing a book and I began to become more and more creative. Then the pandemic hit. I had more time to do new things and by chance...I wrote my first song. ‘The Love of God.’
It’s so amazing when I think of it. If I was still in school, I wouldn’t have done the creative things I have done. I would have never written a song, I wouldn’t be writing a book. This, to me, shows that God is ALWAYS with us, no matter what. Proverbs 31:25 says: ‘Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So, to all you out there who are suffering from discrimination, rasicim, bullying and persecution, and to those who are afraid, Be Strong and Courageous, for God is with you and he loves you, and he will NEVER forsake you. All Lives Matter. -RaynaJR.

From the time the pandemic started to now, I have felt like my faith has been tested. I could say my relationship with God grew even stronger. Despite all that has been happening in the world which in turn tested my relationship with God, I have always tried not to fall off the balance. There was once a time when I felt that God's presence had left me, which put me in a confused state. However, that gave me more reason to want to retain the strong connection with God. I began searching for Bible verses to go with the topic or value I was interested in knowing more about. That made me realize how much God loves us and he's always provides whenever you are in need. As this tough period continues, my encouragement would be to always trust that God is in control and realize that his love for us is unconditional!
